Humanizing Homelessness Seminar

We regularly encounter men and women affected by homelessness in our neighborhoods, at the street corner, or sitting next to us at church. But many of us struggle to understand, engage and lovingly care for the individuals we meet. This 90-minute seminar will provide a gospel perspective and practical tools to equip you to learn, care and engage.

Taught by Lyssa Melonakos, who oversees an expanding homeless ministry out of First Presbyterian Church, including medical outreach, case management, and discipleship classes geared specifically toward street life. Through the Downtown Fellowship, Lyssa has also developed the Mentorship Program for Homeless Adults, providing volunteer mentors to individuals transitioning out of homelessness.
