    1. What does it mean practically that we are adopted as children of God?  Are there ways in which you have experienced that adoption? (Passages on adoption: Romans 8:14-25; Galatians 4:1-7; Ephesians 3:1-7)

    2. Our passage showed us the boldness of the disciples in the face of the opposition they were experiencing. Are there places where God is calling you to show more boldness?  How could your ability to call on God as Father help you?

    3. Discuss the following diagnostic questions on prayer (take from material by Redeemer  City to City).  Go around the room and rate yourselves on a scale of 1-5.  1- No at all. 2 - Weak. 3. - Needs work. 4- Progressing and working. 5- Yes, regularly.

    1. I am often burdened to pray throughout the day
    2. I experience real and discernible spiritual growth through prayer
    3. When I am struggling or feeling weak, I respond in prayer & by asking others to pray for me
    4. When someone shares a struggle or need with me, I pray with and for them
    5 I find relief & courage through prayer to endure times of difficulty & spiritual discouragement
