    A lot of mornings I wake up afraid of what the day will hold, maybe it is a tough meeting, a difficult relationship, a crying baby or physical suffering. On those mornings all I want to do is stay in bed, it feels like my enemies are all around me; fear, doubt, depression and pain. But what if we could wake up and thoughtfully face our hard days, beginning with a liturgy, an act of prayerful worship that would bring a different shape to our day. Jesus has given just that sort of thing in the Psalms, he knows what it is like to be afraid and he encourages us to lean into him in the midst of our fear.
