Lamentations CBR Tweets

Lamentations teaches us how God feels when bad things happen to us.

LAM1-Weeping & mourning floods Jerusalem's fall. GOD inspired every word of this. The Judge takes no delight in judgment. #harborcbr

LAM2-The tragedy of judgment is highlighted by the distance the judged have fallen from their potential. #whatcouldhavebeen #HarborCBR

LAM3-Struggles abound! Whether they overwhelm or feel like a gnawing ache, where do you go with them? Verse 22 begins the answer! #HarborCBR

LAM3,2-Judgment is us experiencing the damage we (have (or our community has) done to the world. #HarborCBR

LAM4-When swept up in the punishment of someone ELSE'S decision, what's the recipe to respond? This chapter gives us that recipe. #HarborCBR

LAM4,2-Here's this chapter's recipe when you suffer for another's sin: 20 verses mourning along w/them, 2 verses hope in God. #HarborCBR

LAM4,3-Ch1,2,3,4 are alphabetical: Each verse begins w/the next letter of the alphabet. Ch3 has 3 lines for every letter. #Poetry #HarborCBR

LAM5-Ch5 breaks the acrostic pattern, symbolically ending the book in the chaos & fraying of life w/o God. We need Him to renew!.#HarborCBR

LAM5,2-When bad things happen, God's heart breaks for us. When the bad is His judgment, He longs that we'd return to Him for help.#HarborCBR
